In the Beginning.....

Team Badd Bonz was formed before the June 12 tournament at the local field (Fire Lake in Anderson, SC) in 1999. There was three members of the current team participating: Lloyd, Gene, and Josh. Mik did not participate due to him unfortunately breaking his leg and hip and totaling his Type R the month before. We found a not-so-worthy replacement a few weeks before, and this not-so-worthy replacements' father (hereafter referred to as Rambo) also said he would play. Considering we had dominated the walkon games a couple of times before, and we knew who would be playing in the tournament, our hopes were high.

Well, we're here...Now What?

So the day of the tournament arrives. Lloyd, Gene, and Josh were all arriving together, and meeting not-so-worthy and Rambo at the field. We recieved some bad news once we got there, Rambo couldn't play due to a hurt back. Well poop. Lucky enough for us, we picked up a nice little guy who we called Moose throughout the tournament. Team 3:16 (as we were known then) was locked, had our Spyders cocked, and ready to rock...sortof..

So How'd We Do?

Overall the day was a success. We placed 4th overall, not a bad showing in our first tournament, with our team a bit patched together. There were some high moments (Lloyd and Josh taking out the entire damn squad, defeating the up-until-then undefeated team in the tournament; defeating the All-'Mag team with our puny Spyders) and some low moments (not-so-worthy running the flag to the wrong base after we defeated the 'Mag team; Gene making an awesome move to the "fort", hanging the flag, only to realize that it wasn't the fort and the guy he just ran a circle around wasn't happy that he'd just ran a circle around him) Overall, it was a good day.

Where are we now?
Our team as a whole still has only one tournament under its collective belt, but has big plans. We plan on competing in the 2000 Atlantic Coast Tournament Series, and any other local tournaments. We have upgrading guns, equipment, everything in hopes of one day competing with the big boys. Whether we do or not, who cares, but its fun now!
